~Intro to Wire-Work Jewelry Making~
with Stones, Fossils, Glass, Shells, Beads & other objects
Instructor: Dr. Karen Miller Anderson, PHD
In this workshop we will primarily copper and artistic wire. We will create a variety of pendants using stones, fossils, glass, shell, focal beads, arrowheads, pottery, sharks-tooth and more. A booklet will be included with this class which includes photos and project instructions as well as handouts for the student to keep. All jewelry-making tools will be provided for in class use. Basic jewelry wire-working techniques and the tools used to create jewelry will be covered in this workshop. Students are welcome to bring their own objects to wire-wrap although plenty will be available for students use.
We do have a fridge if you prefer to bring your lunch. Please bring a lidded drink and we will have filtered water to share.
This class is limited to six students per teacher's request.

Biography:
Dr. Miller Anderson can currently be found in her studio working on her photography or metal-smithing. She has been creating jewelry since 2012 and has taken many jewelry-making classes throughout the region and at specialized conferences. She continues to leverage- up her skills in metal-smithing any chance she can. Her home studio is fully equipped with her Jooltool, soldering station, rolling mill, metal shear, vice, ring bender, drill press, and many hand and forming tools used to create her jewelry.
She continues to exhibit her photography in juried regional shows and her jewelry work in selected galleries.
