“Acrylic Inks with Pouring Medium Class”
Instructor: Galina Stockskill
Participants will learn how to create vibrant, glossy, and durable works of art without cracks, using the pouring method combined with ink colors.
Students will experiment with pouring techniques on a primed board. The final composition will be created on canvas.
Acrylic inks (highly fluid), professional pouring medium and commonly used acrylic pouring tools are provided.
Note: All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. If you like, bring a lidded drink along.
Artist statement: I have always loved painting. From childhood on, I have enjoyed mixing different colors and smelling fresh paint. My favorite technique is gouache. Using gouache, I can express the manner in which I see and feel the world around me. Also, I enjoy experimenting with new materials and techniques. I like to paint landscapes, architecture, seascapes and flowers.
In my artwork, I like to combine the rich sensuous color of nature with an impressionistic manner of painting that I studied in Russia. My favorite times are when I can be outside with my easel, working. I am very happy to live in Raleigh because the North Carolina weather allows painting outside all year round.
