Award-winning international artist, Carol Fynn, is renowned for her clear, encouraging instruction. Whether you are an accomplished painter or a fraidy-cat beginner, you will have a fun day full of learning and leave with a beautiful finished painting. You will be guided through the elements of composition as Carol helps you create your original floral design. Bring your own flower reference pictures or use teachers.
Prepare to roll up your sleeves and go play as we start by creating our collage paper in colors that you choose. On a wet background, we will paint a loose composition that requires No Drawing Skills Whatsoever. On top of this, we’ll apply collage papers to direct our painting. In the final layer, we’ll refine and shape the finished painting. The instructor will demonstrate and guide you through each step. This creative process will loosen you up and delight you with the stunning techniques that watercolors make possible.
Supplies Needed by Student: A sheet of professional grade (Arches preferred) 140 lb watercolor paper 12” X 16” min and 16" x 20" max (due to limited space per person) and a substrate to support it the same size. Watercolor paints in a palette, brushes, paper towels. Gallery will provide water containers and little spray bottles. Carol will provide the collage paper which is included in price.
